Hunter Biden
Hunter Biden sits down for his first interview since the 2024 election in a new episode. The wide-ranging conversation spans public attacks, personal grief, and years of media speculation, offering a rare, unfiltered look at a man at the center of a political storm and the family he’s tried to protect from it.
Host Jaime Harrison, former Chair of the Democratic National Committee, created the podcast to strip away spin and let public figures “speak it plain.” This conversation delivers on that promise.
“You think Jake Tapper was telling the truth when he said I was the acting chief of staff,” Biden said. “I was in that White House 12 days over the course of the last two years of the administration. Clearly because I had other things going on…. I stayed as far away as I possibly could—which, by the way, broke my heart.”
He also directly addresses actor George Clooney, whose 2024 op-ed in The New York Times called on President Biden to step aside from the campaign:
“Really, do you think in middle America, that voter in Green Bay, Wisconsin, gives a shit what George Clooney thinks about who she should vote for? And I'm not saying he's not a good Democrat. I'm saying that he's not smart. I'm not saying that he is not a brilliant actor. I'm not saying that he's not a good friend to the friends that he’s friends to. But in that moment, no, he wasn't. He didn't do the right thing. And to say something that is so patently untrue in order to justify what you did afterwards… is cowardly—is weak.”
Biden also reflects on the public’s enduring obsession with his story:
“There’s such an ongoing and sustained obsession with the story of Hunter Biden…. For a very long time, I have not sat down to do things like this because I didn’t want to become even more of a distraction… And I think there’s an opportunity now to set the record straight.”
Biden also comments on the political fallout from the 2024 presidential debate:
“That debate was awful,” Biden said. “But we could have survived if it weren't for the fact that people in the Democratic Party—the inside elite Beltway group of people—were not going to allow it to happen.
Harrison said this episode embodies the purpose of the podcast—real people, no scripts, and conversations that cut through political theater.
“You think you know someone like Hunter Biden because of the headlines,”Harrison said. “But the truth is more complicated — and more human. That’s why I started this show. To speak it plain — and let people be seen on their own terms.”

I’m so glad Hunter is doing these interviews. It’s important to dispel all of the lies and set the record straight. I love Hunter and the entire Biden family. Joe Biden is the greatest President of my lifetime and it was such a great honor to have voted for him in 2020 and the 2024 primary. I miss his leadership every single day. I pray the treatment of his cancer is successful and he lives a very long and happy “retired” life with Jill (best FLOTUS) and his beautiful family. Love to them all. 🫶🙏
Another great show from Jaime and his team. It was particularly good to get to know Hunter Biden on a personal note. I had no idea he had done so much.
